Calvary Teachers Take Australian Curriculum Initiative
Two of Calvary’s English teachers, Annette Carbry and Robyn Ray were asked to present a workshop at the English Teachers’ Association of Queensland (ETAQ) Beginning Teachers Seminar at Stuartholme School earlier this year.

Their workshop was based on a unit of work they had prepared for their Year Ten English classes, titled Australian Stories.  The unit was based on the content of the Australian curriculum, focusing particularly on the providing opportunities for “students to explore and appreciate the rich tradition of texts from and about the peoples and countries of Asia, including texts written by Asian Australians” (Foundations – Year 10 Australian Curriculum).
