Under 8’s Day
Under 8’s Day is a fantastic fun filled day organised especially for children under the age of eight in our community.  This event is open to the local community and is definitely not a day to be missed.

Grandparents’ Day
We love having visitors to our College, especially those who give us lots of cuddles and most importantly...their time.  Grandparents' Day is a special morning shared by all.  There is lots of fun to be had, singing, dancing and story-telling.  Your grandchildren welcome you and invite you to stay for a yummy morning tea.  Grandparents Day is held on both campuses.

Excursions
A number of excursions are held each year ranging from local day trips to places further afield. Parents are notified of these trips through correspondence issued to the student. Excursions seek to extend children’s experiences by visiting places or undertaking activities beyond what families may do. These trips are planned by the teaching staff of Calvary to ensure their relevance to the learning program of the students involved. The cost of these activities is covered in school fees.

Literature Day
Is for students in Years Four to Nine will be participating in a Literature Day at the Carbrook Campus. The students will have the opportunity to listen to authors and illustrators.

Our Year Seven, Eight and Nine students will have the opportunity of listening to these authors in the afternoon session. Years Four, Five and Six will join with their Springwood year levels in the morning sessions.

There will be a chance for students to purchase books – however this is not compulsory and entirely optional for each student. Those who do wish to purchase books written by our visiting authors will have the opportunity of getting them signed.

Book Fair
We hold an Annual Book Fair and whilst this is mainly for the junior school, the Year Seven and Eight students will have the opportunity during that week to take a look at the books on sale.

Free Dress
The students on both Junior School campuses are invited to participate on the last day of each term in a “Free Dress” Day. Requiring participants contribute a gold coin with this money going toward the sponsorship of our Compassion Children.

Camps
Camps for our Year Five students are held each year as part of the College’s Outdoor Education Program. Students normally spend two nights and three days away from the College and take part in a variety of recreational and outdoor activities. These include, but are not limited to, bushwalking, camping, cooking, canoeing, group problem solving, orienteering, ropes courses, raft making and swimming. Both campuses come together for these camps. Costs are levied for each student and included within the year’s fees.

Year Six students travel to Canberra for five days.
