A message from the Head of Junior School Springwood (Prep to Year Six)
Welcome to Springwood Campus of Calvary Christian College. As the founding campus for the College, we are the holders of the beginning story of the College. Our buildings carry the names of some of the people who were on the founding committee for the College. We are just down the hill from Logan Uniting Church and feel very connected to the founding church of Calvary Christian College.
At Springwood we offer a warm, inviting family atmosphere.
As a Junior School only with an attached Creche and Kindergarten, our community is one of young families enjoying their first few years of school attendance. Our upper primary students are the leaders in our school and they look forward to the day they can move down to the larger Carbrook Campus and begin their Middle Years journey. Our connections to Carbrook are strong with some staff working on both campuses, our students attending whole school events at Carbrook Campus and our Year Six students attending a Middle School orientation at Carbrook Campus.
Apart from the strong community feel of Springwood campus we are in part of the leafy Daisy Hill forest area and we are often surprised by beautiful wildlife that also enjoy our environment.
When a koala, lizard or wallaby is in our schoolyard there is much excitement from our students yet we have all learned to share the beautiful surrounds fairly and with safety. Our commitment to young children is apparent in our well-resourced facilities, beautiful play equipment, fully air-conditioned buildings and large playing fields.
