If you walk around the Junior School campuses at any given lunch time, you may notice how calm it is.  Although we do have beautiful children who enjoy playing together cooperatively, another reason for this calm feel is the operation of the clubs during our lunch breaks.

Most children look forward to belonging to a lunch time club, whether that be touch football club, puppetry and drama club, dance club or computer club.

One of our most popular clubs at Springwood emulates the spirit of the Calvary community, and that is the “Mission to Serve” club.  This club sells iceblocks every Tuesday and raises money to sponsor children who live in poverty.  Many children are involved in collecting and counting money and distributing ice blocks.  The children make presentations on Assembly and collect items for Operation Christmas Child boxes.

We regularly see performances from our clubs on Assembly and this is a highlight for all the children that are involved.
