Mrs Fiona Baker, Learning Enrichment Teacher at the Springwood campus, has received a 2012 NEiTA (National Excellence in Teaching Award) Inspirational Teaching State and Territory Award for her work with our students. Out of 531 nominations in Queensland, she is one of sixteen teachers to receive this award. 

Fiona was officially presented her award at the Springwood Years Three to Six Celebration service on Thursday 5th December. Local Member Jonh Grant was there to congratulate Fiona.

Fiona has also been shortlisted for the ASG Inspirational Teaching National Award. She is now one of 34 teachers, 12 of whom will receive the National Award.

Fiona oversees the planning and provision for students with learning difficulties and gifted and talented students on the Springwood campus.  Details of her outstanding contribution as a LE teacher are available on the NEiTA Website. She is one of our dedicated teachers at Calvary who have our students’ best interests at heart.
