Year Seven student, Pippa Wilkings, is a rising-star in wake-boarding having been placed in almost every competition and being sponsored by two companies.
Recently Pippa has placed:
- 2nd at the National Cable Ski Championship,
- 3rd in the Rail-Jam stop Competition held in Cairns, Sydney, Bli Bli and Logan
- 4th in the Board Stock competition held in Penrith
Pippa’s parents are water sport enthusiasts and own and run the local Logan Cable Ski – so she has been wake-boarding since she was three years old. Eight years on she is dreaming of bigger wake-boarding adventures, hoping it will be introduced as an Olympic sport in 2020.
