Kade selected for Brisbane Lions Academy

Date Added: 17/05/2013

Year Nine student Kade Luck has been recruited for the Brisbane Lions Academy.

Kade was recently invited to attend a two day Lions ID Talent Camp where they were put through vigorous testing with the aim of possible selection into this program.

Out of the 200 boys from Greater Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Darling Downs Kade was one of only 9 to be selected.

This is a great achievement. Kade has been working very hard and this is the highest level of achievement he can attain in his age group.

The Lions academy is an elite development program with the aim of producing AFL standard footballers for the Brisbane Lions.

They provide state- of –the- art coaching, facilities and infrastructure to fast-track the development of the boys.

When Kade is 18, if his skill level is enough for professional level, this program will give the Lions first choice of recruitment before he can go into the National draft.

We are very excited for Kade as AFL has been his passion since he was old enough to pick up a ball! It is good to see all his hard work and dedication paying off!

Kade will commence training with the academy once he returns from the State AFL championships in Dalby later this month.

Well done Kade! We are very proud of you.
