One junior team and two senior teams competed against schools from across Logan district and as far south as Ormeau in the Beenleigh Primary Schools Netball Cup. The junior girls team, the Comets, led by coach Kelly Exton, remained undefeated throughout the night for which they were presented with the Junior Champion Trophy and a $250 cheque to go to the netball program at Calvary.
Our senior teams were also fantastic with both teams, the Crunchies and the Cookies, showing the district that Calvary is a force on the netball court. The Cookies lost only one game to the eventual champions Beenleigh, while the Crunchies remained undefeated and claimed runners up on count back.
Well done to our netballers and thank you to coaches Kelly Exton, Kathrin Le Sage and Hayley Bouchier for your time and experience. I would also like to thank Zoe Exton and Brianna Jacklin for providing the Beenleigh Association with Umpires for the night. Both girls gave their night to assist Calvary during the tournament and were very professional in officiating.
Well done Calvary, a tremendous outcome for your hard work.
